Canada Passport photo questions
What size is a Canadian passport photo?
A Canadian passport photo is 50 mm wide by 70 mm high (2 x 2 3/4 inches), with the face measuring 31 mm to 36 mm from chin to crown on a plain white background. You normally provide two identical photos.
Does Canada accept edited or AI passport photos?
No. IRCC does not allow photos altered with photo-editing software, filters or AI tools. PassPix sizes a real photograph to the exact spec rather than generating or beautifying your face.
Do Canadian passport photos need a photographer's stamp?
For printed photos, IRCC requires the photo studio's name and address and the date the photo was taken on the back of one photo. Check the current IRCC guidance for your application type before submitting.
