India OCI Card photo questions
What photo does an OCI application need?
A square 2 x 2 inch (51 x 51 mm) photo with a plain light-coloured background — the official OCI specification asks for a light background, not pure white. The online portal accepts a JPEG between 200x200 and 900x900 pixels with the full face centred.
Does an OCI photo need a white background?
No. Unlike an Indian passport photo, the OCI specification requires a plain light-coloured background rather than pure white. PassPix applies the correct light background for OCI automatically.
Can I wear glasses in an OCI photo?
Tinted or dark glasses are not allowed and your eyes must be clearly visible without glare. Removing glasses is the safest option.
